     As much as I am loving Monday mornings...3 am sure comes early!!!   But...I get to talk to Carson for a while so it's totally worth it!!!  Here's the latest...

I have been asking him about the parcel service over in Tanzania/Kenya.  Some of the mission mom's that I email have been talking about the prices and fees involved in sending packages to their missionaries.

I don't know but i did get a letter from Verla Wilde so they must be up there right now just waiting for me. :(
hello to you too. they sent the letter to niarobi and if it is small enough like a letter or something they will send it to the Senior couple and then they bring it to us when every we are in there area.
the thing with those packages is we will have to see with ZC because that is what everybody has been telling me that is when they will becomeing. so if they don't come with them they are probably lost circulation through the mail world for eternity. :'( 


Any who this last week has been alot of fun. After emailing last week we went to FHE shared a lesson and helped them decorate their Christmas tree. It got me sooooo... much into the christmas spirit that i went and made my own christmas tree and i set my present under it and i just cant wait for christmas morning because i'll become like the cartoon character tanzania devil and rip the paper off of that thing.

    

 Thanks again for the letter this week really appreciate it so this last week we have been all over the place, going to Swahili class and teaching English and a grand total of 21 lessons to investagators and members it has been alot of fun and a lot of work but it has been well rewarded we actually have had 4 new investagators at the church on sunday. 







The only set back has been both my comp and i have been sick on and off this last week right now i'm under the weather. But don't worry it's nothing just the flu jumping between us. But it isn't fun dieing of coughing and sneezing. but don't worry i'm doing good. 



Your job nothing is every the same is it? there is always something new happening right. I told you guys that you would find my ipod i told you. but ya i'm getting excited though, not because my packages our hopefully coming in 2 weeks and not that president is coming down to teach us some stuff. and definetly not because it will be December and i'll have 25 days to up my present oh no not that.:)

But on the 1 of dec we have like 3-4 baptisms scheduled and to of them are sisters so it will be alot of fun if we can hopefully teach them all the lessons and get them to the DL before he leaves for home. But ya i'm getting excited and having alot of fun. Hopefully you guys are doing good. 

Actually i just remembered Jana. (Yesterday) at church they had a primary program and it was soooo funny. just like in welling this kids most of them looked like the didn't want to be apart of this and it was so funny. This Kid right at the start ran up and grabbed a hold of the micro phone and started singing i'm a child of god at the top of his lungs. and then his mother tried to get him away from it but he had both of his meat hooks around this mc and he wasn't willing

to let go. so she left him up there and just sat down back in the congregation. and so he continued singing and even stayed up there even when they were trying to get the program started. Then all of a sudden one of the beefy girls in the branch got up and walked up and grabbed this kid hauled him out of the chapel and as they went he just let out a scream and even as they were on the other side of the church you could still hear him just a screaming. HaHaHa after that it was a very good program lots of fun to watch.
But ya that was my wiki lots of fun. Hope you guys are having fun at home hope your doing good.

Dear Carson,
Hi again.  So funny that you are that excited for Christmas.  I can't remember now what i put in that package for you so it will be a surprise for us both.  Hope you like whatever it was I put in there.  Now I'm really glad that Heavenly Father inspired me to send that with you.  As excited as you are for your package, I'm equally excited to hear from you.  Any new ideas on how we get to call you?  I'm thinking just a collect phone call might get pretty pricey so I'll be asking the mission moms this week for their ideas.
So worried about you being sick.  Hopefully you get better soon.  Any chance of chicken noodle soup over there.
I'm so excited for you about all the lessons, and investigators and possible baptisms.  Way to go!  Make sure you take pictures of everybody and try to get a few with you in there too.  Some people were telling me that they wish they had included more pics of themselves when they were on their mission.
Your primary presentation sounds like Welling!  So funny.  I love it.   Can you imagine what we would have done if that would have been Ashlee?  Yikes! Do you get to go to all 3 meetings?  Do you take investigators with you for that or just take them to sacrament?

ya they having chicken noodle soup over here but i haven't had the desire to cook it for awhile. My comp made some noodles with beans and other stuff so ya. 
yes we have a three meetings. First priesthood, then gospel principles then sacrament meeting. and yes our investagators sat through all of that they said that they liked it but it all depends on if we see them this week so ya it will be ok. i hope.

Do I need to give the mom lecture about eating right and eating vegetables and all that?  You know they teach us to tell you that when you are born right?  Don't let yourself get too worn down.  Rice/noodles/beans are ok...but throw a few veggies in there too!!!  Ok, that's my mom lesson for the week!


ya Elder ojjogolo has been buying some apples once and a while so ya i just steal one or two once a while. but ya i get it.

Ok light fingers...go get your own.  Maybe try a little kale while you're at it so that you can tell grandma you ate some.  

Amina ya ok i'll try we are going to shop rite in Mlimani city to go buy some food for the week so i might buy some apple still yet to be decided.

So do you have enough money by the end of the month or are you ending up with a bit of a surplus?  How is the budgeting thing going?

ha. I don't have a budget i only spend enough to get me buy. Mondosi and makati are keeping me alive. oh and also alittle bit of mountain dew every once and awhile. :) my comp pulled me aside and showed me his allowetment and he had after two weeks only 50000 left over After two weeks. ya it's been alot of fun but i have plenty of cash it is all good.

What is mondosi and makati?  And no wonder you're sick if you're drinking Mt Dew!!!   And by the way...was it a sinkers bar or a snickers bar that you told me about last week.  I've looked all over the internet for what a sinkers bar is?

Mondosis are like doughnuts but without the nice frosting on top. Makati is bread. and no mt Dew as Ken says is the nucter of the gods it can't do anything but help me out. and it was a snickers bar. just steaming with nutritious values.

Allright, now I don't feel so bad.  It's obvious why you're sick!!!   Doughnuts, pop, choc bars, hamburgers, and fries.  Are you trying to gain some weight out there?  Will we have to roll you home?  Really...nectar of the gods?   Oh boy.

ohhhh yeeeehhhh. you should see are zone leader he is short and very plump he looks like a big black doughnut waddling around on his short little legs. but ya i've justified my eating habits by how much walking we do and i play soccer some times at our flatt. oh ya Nectar of the Gods. hmmmm ya

um i don't know Elder Ojjogolo might want to leave and then again he might want to stay we don't have to go to FHE tonight because they are driving some of there family members to the airport to send them home (to Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.)

What?  Who's coming to Lethbridge?  Who's family?

There is a family here that are Rc and we go see them every monday night for FHE and this ladys sister married a canadian and they live in Lethbridge. so they have been here for the month and are leaving tonight.

What are their names.   Maybe we will run into them sometime.  They all usually make it into the hospital eventually.  I would even love to try and find them sometime and find out how they are doing!  Let me know if you can!!!  What a small world!

And then...the best part...he sent me this!!!!
It's a picture of the Christmas tree he made last week.  And that is the present that I snuck into his suitcase before he left because I wasn't sure if he would ever get a Christmas package in time.  Awww...it's so cute!!!

That is the most awesomest thing I have ever seen!!!!!!   Your tree is amazing!  I love that it is 3D and the duct tape touch at the bottom has the whole Red Green/redneck thing going on!  You are so ready for Christmas it's scary!!!   Wow!!!   What does your companion think about the whole thing?

Really?  He doesn't live too far away huh?  Any idea if you have an address yet?  As for Christmas...we haven't made too many plans yet. We were going to discuss it for FHE tonight.  I was hoping to kind of go away somewhere like Fairmont hot springs or Kalispell or Whitefish or somewhere else.  I'm not looking forward to Christmas without you here.  It's kind of hard to not feel complete...but so glad that you are where you are and safe.  But nobody will say what they want to do so we will probably end up staying here like we usuallly do.

oh well. that sounds about normal eh. um i don't know our address and i asked the knechts there address. but they told me if your sending big packages to send them to kenya nirobia and if small ones to them but they never told me it. But i'll find out for you. Swali did they make a plack for me in the magrath stake. i'm just curious cause all of the other elders have been asking me if i did and i don't now so.

I haven't seen any plaque and they haven't asked me about it either.  Funny you should ask this because Dad and I walked right past the board yesterday and didn't even see one for Bodie.  Do you have a picture of yourself that I can put up if need be, or a favorite scripture that you would like to add?   

sawa i'll think about it but it might not be tell next week or maybe two. i'm still recovering and recooperating from this sickness.

Definately don't worry about it today.  Take some time this week to think about it. And take care of yourself.  Vitamin C is a wonderful thing.  Maybe try to get some oranges or mangoes or something like that.  Not just pineapple pop!!!  That doesn't count!

no. Hapana. no she got all bushy tailed over the fact that i ate microwaved chips all the time and gave me a big list of what happens when you microwave food. Apparently it kills the nutrients in it. who knew?

What's hapana?  And I'm totally telling grandma on you now!!!  Wait till you get the big list of what happens when you only eat junk food.  I can hear your arteries slamming shut all the way over here!!!

NOOOOOOO!!!!! there not slamming shut they are just clogging slowly with all of that stuff. ya i was in Bio 30 i know what happens.

Carson, Carson, Carson....what am I going to do about you?  Just try to eat a few more fruits and veggies please.  Real ones.  And I'll try not to give you a hard time about it!  By the way, how much does a pop and choc bar cost over there?

Pop can range from 600-1000

So 1500 tsh is about 1 canadian dollar right?  Not bad, but when you only get 186$ a month, I guess it can add up quickly.  Good luck with that!

ya can't go on a spending spree got to pace myself. but at the end of the month that is when we spend we will be eating hot pos and real burger. Ya i can see it now we will be eating like kings.

oh and i will maybe consider eating an apple one of those days...

Hey thanks for the letter of encouragement. There is a family going home from Canada that i have sent some letter with to you guys hopefully they reach you. I think they where going to take them to your office. So hopefully they get there. Sounds like you guys are having alot of fun. i knew this was going to happen to once i left there would be snow. and you started making jerky. Argh. Couldn't have started that little hobby two years ago... Ya sounds good the only thing that seems like happens yet is you getting cable to watch hockey... You haven't done that yet... Right.? 

Oh well it doesn't matter too much i don't think either of our teams are doing well anyway so what ever right. but hey that sounds like you guys are doing good. This last week has been alot of fun. we been seeing alot of people learning some swahili. But i think i forgot to mention this i am teaching English on Tuesday and wednesday. Now i don't know what you think about that but... I just look at my School grades in english (Kingereza) and they don't seem like i should be teaching English so ya lots of fun. Hope you guys are doing ok?
