     I was working nights tonight and I wasn't expecting to get a letter from Carson until later in the morning.  But much to my surprise and delight....I checked my email after my last break at 5:30 and there was a note from Africa!!!   It was a much needed distraction from everything that was going on around the Emergency Department.  My apologies to my co-worker Susan S who ended up having to do all the work for the last hour and a half of the shift.  Oops!  Best of all he sent a few pictures to me too!!!

MOM what the crap why u say that don't worry P-day is set apart as a holy day on mission it is specifically set apart to right home and some how prepare for the next week but mainly to write u guys so don't worry about that, but ya Zone conference i got two more of those packages very nice july packages so was celebrating july the first with every body down there i don't know how they thought about that but Elder Rawson says i got a little crazy. But it is good to be alittle patriotic right. Sounds like all is well. For us um... Where do i start ... um well... Today i m not to happy some one on the bus stole my phone so now we have to go and buy a new one and transfers news are tonight so it is stupid and bogus i have to get everything ready but ya not to happy right now. But all is well i ll either leave, get a new kid, or be in a threesome with all of these other guys. But so not much for plans this week we ll just have to see what happens. But u know Swahili yesterday it came we taught a few people and i was just speaking listening expounding doctrine and all that great stuff i had to look around and up alittle to see if i was sitting in a pillar of light or something haha it was powerful. Really enjoyed this week and don't really know what exactly will happen next week we ll just have to see but all is well.

Don't worry but i don't think they would send me back to Canada i ll just stay in Tz and enjoy so don't worry one more year to go eh.

Told you that swahili would come along eventually.  Hard work pays off.  So proud of you.  The Lord truly does bless us when we really need it most.

Too bad about not coming back to Taber.  Thought I'd give it a shot though.  Not supposed to say it but I'm kinda missin ya lately.  Must love ya lots son!

Everything's going pretty good here.  Even better after hearing from you today and seeing you in that awesome Canada tie.  It looks awesome on you.  And I especially enjoyed seeing the big smile on your face.  Makes me happy to see you look so good and happy!  Love you lots!!!

So with your phone, do you have to report that to your mission pres or anything? We should have sent you to kickboxing lessons before you went over there...or some kind of self defense class.

Everythings pretty good here.  There was a bit of a rodeo here this morning.  We "attempted" to sedate a guy who had dislocated his shoulder and after a whack of the sedation drug, he got this nasty look on his face and started to reach for my neck.  Then he started swearing and hitting.  THEN...he started bucking and kicking out with both feet and ended up turning sideways on the stretcher.  We had to get four security guards to hold him down and now my neck/shoulders are killing me.  Must have been working too hard trying to keep him down.  Maybe I should have taken the self defense courses. 

Any plans for the rest of the day for you?  Besides buying a phone?  What time is it right now over there?

um... i don't know but i just told the ap and he knows so but either way that would be fun kickboxing or mix martial arts Boom Wack Thwack down boy and stay down. hmmm really did u elbow him in the chest too or just beat Farm girl style right, not really go and buy an new phone eat food wash clothes maybe sleep stuff like that. it is about 2 in the afternoon

Ya Carson...that was me...the farm girl came out and it was just like fighting down those calves at branding time.  Yeehaw!  But I think I'm getting a little too old for this.  My body just doesn't recover as fast as it used to.

What are you going to go eat today? 

Any more news about ebola?  What about all those transfers from those evacuated countries?

What was something that you learned at zone conference?  Any good presentations or what was the theme of the meeting?

Chips mayai probably but we ll have to see.

not much but all of those missions are closed the mission pres are back in america and most missionaries are home too so ya really interesting but nothing over here. Don't worry.

um as missionaries we need to focus on families and kingdom builders and writing to mission president is very important stuff kindly like that was really interesting and really enjoyed

That is interesting.  I hope you keep us up to date about all that scary stuff.  Good to know that you are safe and healthy.

How often do you have to write to the mission pres?  Does he have to write you back each time?  Was he at your zone conference this week.  Do they mention how important it is to write looong juicy letters home to your momma?  Maybe you should mention that!!!   ha ha!  ;)

every monday. yup yup weekly letters to see how u the area and everybody is doing. yup yup yup well they mentioned about keeping time and writing president but not to much about home. we already know all about that stuff. hmmm what me u know i m a man of little words E. rawson is beside me knocking out big juicy letters but big difference between me and him he has words to write me not so much so about that

Sounds good.  What kind of advice does the pres give you?  Or am I allowed to ask?

I know you're a man of little words...believe me...I KNOW!!!  It's killing me.  Maybe you should have Elder Rawson coach you a little about how to write a proper letter to your mom.  You probably have lots to write about...you just don't think it's exciting but we love to hear any details you can give us.  Just love hearing about your experiences and what you are doing.

Just about the mission work not really but we ll have to see um ya we ll have to see.

Well, Carson, I'd love to stay and chat some more.  I'll keep this screen up a little longer, but I need to go give a patient some epinephrine and other drugs for her allergic reaction.  I might be away from the desk for a bit.  Also it's almost 7 am which means shift change.  I have to stay a little longer today cause I'm going to pick up some grain for dad today...but anyway.  I'll be back in a while.   But if you have to go...that's ok too.  Just remember I love ya lots and good luck today.  I'm thinking of you and praying for you always.

and besides rubbing in my face that you are doing fun stuff all must be going well. 

but ya we will have to see but it was funny yesterday we went to visit people and when they talked i understood everything that was said and even was able to reply and help out it was awesome for sure and ya i feel that is what president wants and  for sure we ll see what happens. For today i am mad kabisa. fetching a stupid mzee stole my phone as we got off and even we caught up with it and asked for it back but everybody was like simu what simu ah i was mad for sure. but other than that all is well zone conference was good and lots of fun and it is good to talk to you and hope to be able soon again. all is well did any one steal anything from u? been good reading from u hope all is well talk to u next week. Grandma Walburger forwarded her letter from Carson this week.  She tried to send him an actual bottle of root beer when she was down in the States last.  Sounds like it didn't quite make it to him.  Hopefully some of those boys in the mail room had some ice cream to put with that root beer!  She also mentioned to Carson how Grandpa has to teach a lesson to the High Priest group next week about obedience.  So she was asking Carson for some helpful pointers.  Then at the end, she mentioned how some missionaries just write one letter and forward it to everyone.  Thank goodness Carson doesn't do that to us.  That wouldn't have gone over very well with his momma!

how are u guys? me i am doing good. i recieved part of your package. The other half was taken away at the airport. Thanks for the package really really happy but the soda didn't come i almost cried when they said the Root beer didn't come. Pres. is a fan too so both of us cried but thanks really appreciate it.

right now it is winter here in Mwanza it rained a few times but nothing serious

ya they have all of that fun stuff here but really expensive. lots of fun biking is fun and mission work is going great really appreciate. Hey that is awesome. tell grandpa to use this quote " Obedience is powerful, spiritual medicine it comes close to being a cure-all." Pres Boyd K. Packer this is the mission scripture really powerfully and is true by being obedient we can overcome all problems and trials that we have, Anything that comes our way can be solved by being obedient and if we fall we can repent and recieve forgiveness by being obedient. and by being obedient we are no where close to being in trouble. I hope this helps some how. Miss u guys kabisa and i hope all is well and don't worry about that me i prefer to write everybody makes me happy to see how everybody is doing.
