The boy was a wealth of information this morning.....(not really!!)
Well mom
For me this week has been a good one somehow fast but it was still close. And bout the details i don't know what i can say it kind of gets hard writing the same thing over and over and over and over again. WE went and saw this person and this person and went home made food and slept.
Sorry to keep bothering you about details. I know you think you do the same stuff...but I find it interesting. What did you Elder I.....talk about at stake conference? What was it that you liked about him? How is he liking the idea about being the new mission president? Who are the other elders you're hanging out with? Mountain View? You have a Mountain View there? What's that like?
Don't worry too much about the vacation planning. Just curious what you'd rather do...Hawaii? or a cruise? That's all. i know it's confusing for you and I hated to bother you with it all.
So...what time is it there right now? All my clocks are messed up on this computer and I don't know what your time is. Have you got most of your P-day chores done? Any other plans for the day?
liked him because he was pretty interesting to listen to he talked about family counsels with his wife and shared his testimony alot so that was nice. he was really powerful though. But i didn't talk to him much though. Elder Anyoso and elder Addo YA there area is Westlands and a certain area is Called mountain View. Rea;;y dusty and mountains there.
Hmm ok sawa interesting/. around 300 that is the time.
Ya pretty close we have a few thing we need to do, and washing clothes might be there to. not really we will just have to see what the weather is doing it seems like it was going to rain when we came in this afternoon.

And then he must have run out of time because that was all he wrote back this week.
Ken's letter....slightly more detailed
hey dad.
Ya i m doing good. mission is great we had Stake Conference this week which was nice we had a Member of the Seventy there Elder I......... he had a really funny name but he ll be released this conference to be a mission President in Zimbabwe. But ya it was really nice. Grandma's letter. I hope they don't mind, but I'm putting in what they wrote to Carson so it makes a little more sense.
Hi there, how is my very favourite missionary? Great I hope. We know that there are many blessings to be had as a missionary, but it is a lot of hard work. Just calving happening here... I'm kinda not helping a whole bunch because I keep going to Lethbridge with the other ladies to hike in the coulees. They are some steep hills. The weather is nicer in Lethbridge... not all this snow covered stuff that we have! We took a cow in last Monday (my birthday) ... (and thanks for the birthday greetings) The vet said the calf would be dead so at least save the cow (to be sold!!!) well the calf was still alive and a pretty good size. Grandpa had to fuss with it a bit because Mom was too sore to worry about it right away...but all is well now... Grandpa is getting pretty tired of all those 3:00 am checks... and the work. It will be over soon and he will be wondering what to do with himself... actually that only happens in the winter months... So now did your baptism go? That is so nice that they join the Church... many blessings are in store for the IF they will allow it. We were taking about the parable of the sower today and it was very interesting .. You know how the teacher gets the most out of the lesson because s/he has put the most effort into the learning... Well the depth and quality of th soil depends on how much effort we put into the learning!!!!...
We love you tons and wish the very best for you. I'm glad you are happy with your companion and to stay in Riruta... May the Lord continue to bless... Take good care of yourself.

Hi Carson, Grandpa here: Hope everything is well with ya. How about success stories... having any luck with investigators? Things are going OK here, its calving time so we gots snow, and cold then warm and hot. Typical spring weather. I really like the nightly calf checks... especially at 3:AM! .... Ha.. Ha.. They are not getting easier. Anyways this is just a short note to let you know we think of ya often, so stay cool, work hard and enjoy all those happy trails. We will always love ya, May God bless and may you bring happiness to others.
Grandpa
And then this is his reply....why can't he write something like this to us? KIDS!!!! Make me CRAZY!!!
