I never thought i would miss mash potatoes until now. so good I had a steak with mash potatoes. Just bout fell over it was so nice.
Sat- Anderson left we went to church and then Elder Kogo was feeling ill so we just chilled while he slept
Sunday we were at church- just give a calling i am the piano player/ library assitant. i m just like great just calling me bro will because now i m basical a member. (This is sarcasm.)
But ya that was my super nice week. we also last night kind of had a little bit of a wrestingly match so things we broken and ya but all is well we are all still companions and getting along and most of the things have been fixed temporarily with u guessed it Duct tape but ya everything is going just fantastic.
As for my companions one is going 6 weeks after me and the other is in march so the both of us are pretty much finished but i go first which is kind of sad. But what ever. Thats awesome hopeful we can chat today and see whats up that side.
Thanks for writing this week
Love you lots

Ha ha Carson.  That was a pretty funny joke you played on me.  My alarm just rang and I checked the email on my iPod so it really looked like you had only written that first part and I was a little sad but grateful that you had written.  Then I scrolled further and saw what a great letter you had written and now I'm so happy!  Thank you!

Well it sounds like you had a pretty busy week too!  Who's hair did you cut?  Harvey or Kogo?  Why did you mess up after he told you 50 times how to do it?  That reminds me of when I cut your dad's hair.

You don't have potatoes?  I thought you had those in abundance over there.  But I bet you really enjoyed the steak too.  How did you feel the next day after eating that?

I love that you are the piano player.  Makes me not regret all those times I was a nazi mom and forced you to practice!
Good thing you have duct tape!  What stuff did you break?

haha yup yup i cut elder harveys hair :) it just seemed like i messed up but he said i did a good job. well i haven't eatten actual mash potatoes. oh it was soooooooooooooooooooooooo nice i just bout fell over... but then i did fall over when they brought the bill. hahah
a bed someones mosquitoe net and some other useless things,

Can I ask how much a steak dinner costs?

Hey about those pictures you sent last week....the ones with you mudding that house...how big was that building?  Like 14 feet by 14 feet?  or what?  How many people will live in that?  What's in the mud mixture?  Just mud?  What happens to it when it rains?

well as a steak mash potatoes and mango juice would equal around maybe 1000ksh or so.  ya it wasn't to big. i don't know maybe just mud and water, they do it many many times so the rain doesn't affect it.

(1,000.00 KES = 12.50 CAD)

So how many people will live in that house you built?  How big is it?  I was showing the pictures to Dad's Sunday school class today.  It was kinda cool!

I was also going to ask you...what is your grocery store like?  Is it a big open market, or a little store like the merc, or is it a big one like walmart?

What's your plans for the upcoming week?

mom i ll be honest i don't know i imagine it would be about one family.
it is bout 14ft by 30
ya it is like the merc.
Well for this week we ll be working from tuesday - wedensday and then thursday we are traveling to kisumu for Zone meeting.  and friday we will return and contiue the work to monday which is transfer day. after that i don't know

Sorry for all the questions...just interested.

Do you do any of the cooking now?  Before you've always said you have companions that kind of take over that chore.  How about you?  Have you learned how to make the perfect ugali?  Actually I think I remember you said once you made some chapati?  So...who gets to do the cooking among you three?

Did you ever go over to your blog site and check out the pictures of your sisters and me and Gma?

um i try but i guess i just i kind of just improvise nope not yet still working on it. we eat bread and water mostly.
ya for sure i had to laugh at a few of them.

Bread and water??? Seriously?   What happened to all the orange juice and apples and kale and mongoose and other good stuff?  BOYS!!!  You need to eat healthy!  What do their mothers say about your diet?

What did you make the last time you cooked for everyone?

Right now I'm eating a cheese sandwich.  Do they have cheese over there?

rice and sosi but all i did was cutt stuff up.
yes they do but it is crazy expensive.

What's sosi?

plastic meat???? i don't know it somehow taste good but

What animal does it come from?

It doesn't come from a animal but a plastic bag.

Oh my heck....did you really just write that!  That's like saying milk comes from a fridge at the store!  You are a nut!

So....what else are you doing today?  Groceries?  Getting more duct tape to fix the broken furniture?  Do you think you might have a package coming to you this week at your zone conference?  It seems like so long since you've said you've gotten anything. But I know I sent a bunch of them those last two month of March and April.

I wrote in "sosi" on the Google translate page....and it came out as "sauce".  So not sure what this mystery meat is that he's talking about!

ahhaha.
ya we are going to get grceries and other food.
ha ha ha ,,, no more of that any more.
me i don't know
ya we ll just have to see what happens they haven't let me know if any are there so.

If you're the piano player and library assistant in the ward...what do the other missionaries do?

have other callings like teachers and stuff like that

Do you ever go and see some of the sights around town on pday?  Anything interesting over there?

Not really but some times we get to see accidents and stuff

What do you mean accidents and stuff?

So ya love you lots mom we got to of so we talk more next week

Really???   That's how he ends his letter?  Oh that boy.  He's killing me!!!

And here's his letter to Ken:

Ya dad i m just bubbling with joy to come home and to work no stop.
thats total awesome.
As for me i m doing good just finished an awesome week this week. We had a good week lots of work was done it was great,
as for busia it is not at all like kisumu or nairobi more like a welling times two.
Like there is some big places here but you wouldn't know there names but it is basically the size of welling but ya it super nice around here just alittle hot some times.
But ya i m still in a three some this is probably one of the best companionship i have had on mission. It is so much fun but we are working also super hard so ya all is going good. Missing home but all is well.
Love you lots dad and hope you have a good week.
