Hey it sounds like you guys are doing good. that's actually the funnest thing i've heard this week. Dad having to got to court. she ask him if that was the first. but ya everything is running smoothly over hear. Falling behind in Language study. Oops!! main probably was that we had exchanges so i went and chilled with the other Elder in my area and the DL went with my comp. Ya but saturday we had an activity for the branch and we called it THE RESCUE. it was alot of fun not very many people showed up but it was still alot of fun. we had the first annual olympics, Called the TP games. we made a trophy and it was just awesome and the games where alot of fun and then we had a presentation and told the people to start getting us some friends to teach with them. but ya it was alot of fun. And then on Sunday there was no youth so the missionaries had to pass the sacrament it was soo weird and soooooooooo different from how it is done in Welling but we got the job done. Have a good Thanksgiving. hope it is a gooder. our transfer is almost up so my comp is running around and just loving life. he will walk around and just say two more weeks. just two more weeks and then i look at him and say shut up. Hey but it is all good because it seems like the time is flying over hear. except for the heat i keep telling myself it is going to get cooler eventually oh no it's not, it's just getting hotter and hotter. i'm starting to get scared about turning into a puddle of water.
Hey it is good to hear from you too.

Sounds like fun over there.  I hope you get some more people to teach
soon.  Why was passing the sacrament soooo different than in Welling?
Sorry to hear that your companion is being a bit "trunky".  Hopefully
you'll get a rock star trainer the next time and you can really get
working.  Enjoy the heat for me.  It's getting colder and colder every
day here.  We turn on the fireplace to warm up beside every morning
during scripture study.  so enjoy the HEAT baby!!!  It could be
snowing!

Well there is only three deacons and we have to stand when the bless the sacrament apparently. but even the normal kid who passes didn't know that. ya i got the letter from dad and that still fun about him he seems to not be able to stay on his feet lately.

If you're falling behind in your language studies, do you need me to
find anymore commonly used swahili phrases for you?  I can google them
up like crazy!

OK...Big Question...any pictures for me today????   Carson...I can't
wait to see what you look like.  I think I'm starting to forget what
that big grin looks like!!!

No your good and the computor i'm using i can't figure out and it doesn't have that cord to connect to
the camera so no. Maybe next week i can try and figure it out. Pole.  (Side note here...pole in swahili means..."take it easy...relax"   Hmmmmmm.   I'll "relax" him!)

Mon, Oct 14, 2013 at 5:21 AM

There was no cord to connect with the camera.  It never came with it.
You're supposed to use that card reader.  You take the memory card
from the camera...put it into the card reader...which has a usb port
on one end of it.  Then that goes into your computer and it should be
just a simple matter of pointing and dragging it onto the dropbox
thingy.  I NEED A PICTURE...please!!!??!???

Really?  You're killing me son!  At least some things never change.

So if there are no pictures for me, do I at least get a missionary
moment story?  Any good uplifting spiritual highlights to get me
through another long week?

Carson Williams

Mon, Oct 14, 2013 at 5:31 AM

well, he told me about his girlfriend and how they had been together since high school and one year of university. and the made a promise to each other to get married after his mission.

Mon, Oct 14, 2013 at 5:34 AM

So do you think they'll actually get married when he's home?  Or has
she sent him the Dear John letter yet?

Carson Williams

Mon, Oct 14, 2013 at 5:34 AM

Just as he was getting out of the MTC and into the mission she emails him and says i'm not going to wait for you i'm going to marry your roommate. it devestated him and he went to pres Hicken and asked him to use his phone to talk to her so he wriped out his cell phone and put it on speaker phone and said phone who ever or wait tell christmas.

Mon, Oct 14, 2013 at 5:34 AM

Wow...so did he actually call her?

Carson Williams

Mon, Oct 14, 2013 at 5:35 AM

I don't know about you guys but right then i would have been like, You know on that note i'm good.
But he talked to hear and after they finished the pres counseled him when the new missionaries from South Africa come to talk about it with one of them.

That's so funny!  So what did they counsel him about...just that he
would survive without that girl.  Obviously if she didn't wait...she
wasn't the one for him.  Aren't you glad you don't have that problem?

Mon, Oct 14, 2013 at 5:39 AM

Ya so i just told him about my exp and just said God has a plan for all of us and if you work your hardest in the mission God will provide you with a wife way better than your Ex. Also there was a few Mehew quotes oh and a few from Dad too. :) then later we went to an appointment and this investagator was wanting to be married but his GF wasn't feeling it. and so my comp at the time used this experience and helped counsel him and he seemed to get it.

melaniewilliams

Mon, Oct 14, 2013 at 5:41 AM

Awesome.  I can only imagine some of the Mehew quotes you could use.
The only one I ever heard is that the harder you work on your mission,
the cuter your wife will be

So do you walk to church?  Any vehicles in your area?  How do you get
to the beach?

Carson Williams

Mon, Oct 14, 2013 at 5:59 AM
Yes but it is only a block or so away from the other missionaries flat. No there is only one mission vehicle and that is in Niarobi and that is used by the assiatance. and after being hear for a month and a half they can keep it i'm not driving anywhere even if sombody tried to pay me.

Is the traffic pretty bad?  How far away is Dar es Salaam from
Nairobi?  Do you drive to get there or do you get to fly?

Carson Williams

Mon, Oct 14, 2013 at 6:01 AM

We took a bus and just went to a water resort and went to the beach through there. it was alot of fun there i'm trying to get the missionary who took all the pic. to send me a few. but i won't get them for a while. And in answer to dad's question is that if you send them to the mission office i won't get them until zone conference. which was supposed to be this week but...
They changed it and it is going to be the second week in.........
IN DECEMBER!!!
AHHH

Carson Williams

Mon, Oct 14, 2013 at 6:02 AM

yes the traffic here is horrific and we flew on a plane from niarobi it was about a 1-2 hr flight.

Well, Carson, I wish I could talk to you longer.  I guess my break is
about over though.  Thanks so much for indulging my questions.  I sure
love you.  I think you're so amazing and I'm so proud of you.  Keep up
the good work.  Good luck this week.  It must be hard having a
companion who is on the verge of going home and you're just basically
starting.  But I know you can do this. You are pretty tough and I know
you can do hard things.  That's probably why they sent you to Africa.
(Too bad they didn't know you're mom is a wimp otherwise they would
have listened to my request to assign you to Taber!)

Mon, Oct 14, 2013 at 6:15 AM

anakupenda!  If you ever need anything, let me know.  I'll probably
still try to send you some parcels because you are the Lord's
messenger and I have faith that something will eventually get to you!
Love ya lots.  Have a great week.

May the Lord bless you,

Love you...around the world and back and then some more!

your nice ties.  That's ok...Dad's been wearing them for you)  treats,
etc...   Love you.  bye!!!

Carson Williams

Mon, Oct 14, 2013 at 6:40 AM

What Dad wearing my ties????
I thought i only left the Broken one???

melaniewilliams

Mon, Oct 14, 2013 at 7:03 AM

You left that nice brown striped one...oh..I remember.  You thought it
was broken because that back strip was off on one side.  Dad fixed
it...he just ripped it off completely!  And then there was a nice blue
one, and your Moroni tie.  Oh well...at least I don't have to buy dad
a new father's day tie.  Thanks!!!
