     23 more sleeps until we get to talk to Carson!!!!   I'm so excited to hear his voice again!  I can't wait!!!   I woke up at 3 am again this morning in hopes of getting to email Carson and this is the first thing I found........

     Awwww...isn't he cute.  The middle elder is Elder Dimingu and the one on the other side of him is Elder Nkhoma.  Carson said...Elder Nkoma from Malawi. just one of the elders in Dar actually my Brother from MTC. Yes this is in the Knechts home.

(The Knechts are the senior mission couple in Carson's area.)

     This is the next letter he sent me....

Hey who is it going. Good i hope Well Sundays are basically the same. Go to church, Chill with the members and then after church we go and try and find people to teach it is alot of fun. 24/7 always working. if this was working at Mehew's i would be making cash like crazy. 

I had asked him about fast and testimony meeting.  Some friends in our ward just got back from Hawaii and they said that when the speaker gets up he says "Aloha" into the mic and the congregation responds by saying "Aloha" back.

No in my branch you get up and say habari zenus (Basically how is everybody.) Then every body says NZURI. So kind of the samething but Jambo is more of a tourist greeting. Wow this sounds like a very intersting week for you guys. 

I asked him about his baptisms that he had said were going to happen today.

but ya the baptism is scheduled for next week saturday. I'm so excited but we still haven't figured it out yet still working on the minor details like who is going to speak etc. but ya more worried about president Hicken. He is here in Dar right Know and we are going to have interviews with him and a zone conference with him. I'm so nervous right now i could cry.

I asked him if they had mosquitoes there and if he had to take malaria medication.

 Ya we have malaria pills and i have been taking them religiously. and yes they have alot of mosquitos running around. And they LOVE TO BIT AT NIGHT. it sucks but o well. Power really doesn't like stay on so sometimes we have to sleep out side which sucks even more. No it is ok. i enjoy hear news from home so it is all ok really. Ok i'll try to get a letter to ya. So no baptism today but instead it's next week?

When is your interview with President Hicken?  I'm sure you will be fine and he'll think you are awesome just like I do. 

What do you mean you sleep outside?  That doesn't sound very safe!!!  Sorry about your power not staying on.

ya we decided to do it next week because we hadn't taught lesson 4. ya it is somewhere between kesho (tomorrow) and alhamisi (Thursday).  

Jumatano (Wednesday) is zone conference with him so it will be interesting to see. 

 IT WAS BOILING And it was nice and cold outside so i layed my self in bug spray and then layed some more on me until i was soaked then we went to bed. but the power came back on so we rushed back inside. just a plastic easy take down put back up one. it was alot of fun. but it was funny last night, The

ac wouldn't turn on so Elder o was getting furious with it and i just used Dad's saying with the car. you can't beat it you got to show it some love. so he was like fine then i leave it in your hands. So i followed Dad's Example and just started do his thing and eventually she turned back and the best part about it was she was blowing even colder air then before it was awesome. Elder O couldn't believe it.

What kind of tree was it that you decorated at the RC's house last week?

it was alittle Artifical tree like the one at home. but not quiet.

Any good missionary stories this week?  We love a little mission inspiration!  Who are you teaching this week?  Are you nervous/excited about the baptisms?

Not too much just this last week we have done alot of walking and contacting and teaching. i'm very excited for the baptism. kind of wish both girls could be baptized but it wasn't to be so what ever. but ya this last week there is a bunch of people how are just crazy they set appointments with us and then a few min they phone back and say why they can't met us. it is very weird and then the is a few girls coming after Elder o and me and it is freaking me out. i told him if one of these girls tried to put the moves on me i was going to sprint in the other directions. I don't know how far i'll get but he better be on my tail because i will not look back. but ya other than that it has been a very good week. If this computer i was on would work i would send you a few pictures of this morning me and my comp took pictures with our tree. very nice

oh and also the president told us that to tell our families to send all packages in empty pringles jugs to avoid the kenya taxation and also so that they have a better chance of getting here.?

Good work!  So in one of your last letters you said you had 3-4 baptisms lined up this week.  So are the other two getting baptized today and then the other girl getting baptized on Saturday?

The mission moms have been talking about the pringles cans.  Yes I will do that from now on.  The girls are getting excited to eat all the chips!!!   Do they have chips where you are?  or taco chips?  or nacho chips?

no the other girl's parents won't letter her be baptized and the other 2 guys are just slacking so we have to postponed them to a latter date. Yes the Ap actually just phoned me and said they can get the package to me but it will costed me 10 American so i was just YES BRING IT TO ME I WILL DO ANYTHING JUST BRING IT TO ME PLLLLLLEEEEEAAAAASSSEEEE. so ya apparently i've got the packages. so excited. freacked out about because the AP were looking for me. Happened to Elder Ojjogolo to. AP phoned him to tell him he was training me so i was alittle worried i was going to be training. But all is well.

Doritos and other chips that are kind of like Lays chips but not. oh and ruffles but under a different name and they have ground beef tasting chips :) sadly it didn't taste like really beef so i was alittle sad. So if you feel like it feel free to send me some of those pringle chips full of chips. :)

YAHHHHHH!!!   So excited for you!!!!   Too much fun!!!  10 dollars isn't too bad.  Is there only the one package?     Hopefully you get the others too eventually!  I can't wait to hear what you got!!!  Funny that you're worried about messages from the AP.  They wouldn't ask you to train yet would they?
I would send the pringles chips but they would probably be pringles dust when they got to you!!

That wouldn't happen...or would it?  Hmmmm.  We'll see!    Sorry about those baptisms falling through. I wonder why those other 2 guys would slack off like that. 

most people here they aren't worried about much. Businesses don't open till 9 and basically everybody over here is very chill.

Next subject...any ideas on the christmas phone call?

ya they will give me credit for a 40 min call to you guys and i will phone you hopefully sometime during that day on christmas some time?? but we are hang with the senior couple for the most part of that day so i don't exactly know as of right now how that will shake down. But i will tell you more when i find out more.

ARe you serious?  We get 40 minutes with you?  How awesome is that!!! I can't wait to hear from you. 

ya i guess. my comp was wanting 2 hrs for some reason but it was probably to talk to his girlfriend.

Hey that sounds awesome that you are doing better. and it also sounds like grandpa is doing better that is awesome. i still think you should have started this little hobby of yours atleast 2 years ago. making jerky that still bugs me over hear. i guess i'll just eat some grasshoppers or some octopus and try and imagine that it is Deer jerky. M comp told me that he likes to hunt but... He has never eaten meat before coming on mission. i told him if he comes to Alberta i'll convert him. But this week has been alot of fun lot s of work walking all over the place and everthing but ya it has been alot of fun. Hope you guys are doing good. Thanks again for writing. Very excited for this saturday. We are having a baptism. So excited. Alittle twelve year old girl who lives with right now a part member family. So awesome.

Grandma sent Carson a letter too and she forwarded us his reply.  I guess she also sent him a picture of my brother Michael when he was on his mission in Florida.  I think it's the one where he's standing in front of the kitchen sink that's loaded with dirty dishes and he's got both hands on his head looking pretty overwhelmed at the task in front of him.

Hey thanks alot. that picture actually reminds me of me this morning. This last week we hadn't done any of the dishes and it was my turn to clean the kitchen and that is exactly how i thought i looked. Yes i have been eating some apples now and then. and yes i know that christmas tree is nice. This morning we took pictures but my computer isn't working so i can't send them to you so i'll send them next week. But ya never thought i would ever have to help people learn English. Freda lowe is probably laughing at me right now. that sounds like you guys are doing okay i guess. ya hear it is about +30 ish give or take.  but ya it is alot of fun Kiswahili is improving slowly but ya it will take time. Hope you guys are doing good.
