    Love, love, TRIPLE love Monday mornings!  ??? Wait a minute...I never thought I'd hear myself say that!!!   But I love getting emails from Carson and hearing about all the fun things he's doing so very far away.  Today...we had a bit of a shock though.  But first, here's Ashlee's letter to Carson and his reply!

hey carson i dont have to much to say but yesterday we went snowmobiling and there were all these quaders up at pole haven and they like ripped up the snow so if you go in them you would flip the skidoo and guess ht i did i went in them and i fliped the skidoo ya it was i guess you could say Fun?????? i'm not hurt or anything but i dont have any thing fun to tell you and i have to go to bed soon so ya  love you and miss you tons LOVE ASHLEE

Um ok so pole sona ashlee, you know you probably should stay off all motorized vehicles for a while before you DO kill or seriously injury yourself. but hey hope you are doing good. good luck in school. and with some of your friends.

And then I finally got my email from Carson.  I was only able to see the first line or two of his letter and then the computer sloooowly started to bring up the picture he sent me.  And when it was fully loaded...I screamed!!!  Wait till you see what would cause me to do that!

so ya this last week has been very interesting just after we emailed me and my comp went to get hair cuts and i told the guy 1 because they don't like to cut it very much and so this happened.

So ya at least i won't have to get a hair cut for a while.  Hey that is very cool missionaries in Raymond.  (The missionaries are coming to our house this week for dinner.  It's our turn to feed them.  I told Carson I was a bit worried that I would just bawl in front of them the whole time cause I would be thinking about him!) it good for us to see a alittle emotion, but it gets awkward when the tears start flying.

It's ok through keep being the best mom every and the time will fly iam almost 5 months on mission. i still feel like i'm in my first transfer.

Ya so packages... one of the elders in our area went to Nairobi for a training, and he phoned us. He said Elder O and Elder W have packages, but... I'll not be able to bring them because you need to pay for them first in KSH in order for us to bring them to you.????WHAT!!!! both me a Elder O where mad, and confused. They didn't do this before but now they want us to come get them in Nairobi. But they might come down and give them to us if we have KSH. so ya your packages are here but i can't get them yet. they will becoming in a bit but they don't know if they will be able to bring them. It is ok though at least your package got here.

 Um... my pants... (The last letter he mentioned he burned his pants...so I asked him how it happened.)  well long story short there was no water in the iron and they went SSSS. burned a nice hole in the bottom of them. but ya i can buy most of the stuff around here. it is ok don't worry.

Please i don't want to remember that. (Kaylee had to conduct for the Teachers/Mia Maids Standard Night on Sunday.  Carson had to do it once before as well but called them "Meee-a-maids" instead of "My-a-maids".)  However on the bright side, i never was called to conduct again. Also please give him (the stake president) my email, i would like to talk to him. Thank you so much. and sorry about your ipod. Lots of missionaries here have ipods. and they ask me if i have one. but i don't i lost it and left at home but the ZL are getting mad at them for using them in training so maybe it is for the best. They were telling me to have you guys send it to me. but i don't want to lose it and country music would be playing and it just wouldn't be good.

Sorry about your packages.  Can you send up some tsh next time to have them convert it into KSH and then bring them back?  Did you just get the one package or are there also some pringles cans too?  Did you get charged for them? 

Also forgot to ask you one more time about what a 3 transfer meant.  So there's 6 weeks in a transfer time and you're on week 3???

I could send you an iPod...but I would send a cheaper one and load it with church music.  But maybe you could just pick one up over there?

Sorry about your pants.  Dad's funny.  He thought you burned them up in a campfire.?????

No I'm at home right now on grandma's computer!

aa ok. ya i can of screamed to when they did it. he cut it like you do and when he started hair just started flying and then before we knew what was happening all my hair was on the ground. and i tried to get some back but it never stayed in. Good thing president isn't coming until Mar because if he saw this. WHOLE i would be toast. I don't know yet we are still having difficulties like before they would bring it down and i would pay them in TSH but now they won't bring it until we go up there to get them. and it is just stupid like me and my comp are ticked right now. I don't know what it is they just said yup we got some packages for you, but we can't give them to you until we see KSH. :0 ya a transfer is 6 weeks and we just finished this transfer so we are starting the 4 transfer and now one is moving and we haven't heard if any new guys from South Africa are here yet, Has Kash's mom talked to you yet?

Make sure you put sunscreen on your head!  Your hair is so short your scalp is going to BURN!!!   Will the president get mad that your hair is too short?  

Sorry again about your packages.  I can totally understand why you would be ticked.  I would be too!  I wonder what actually made them change the way they did it.  Maybe they were getting too many packages from mooing mothers like me and it cost them too much money.  Don't be too mad.  There has to be a reason for it and I'm sure it will work out in the end.  Besides...there's not really anything great in there.  Just a few odds and ends to remind you of home.

Haven't talked to Kash's mom at all.  She posted on Facebook the last time when he was diverted but nothing lately. 

Hey...what about the hamburger helper?  Does it work with whatever that dehydrated stuff you use?

YES it works wonderfully even the taco mix. the other day i made sloppy joes and it was wonderful. and even with Chapati it is good. So ya if you want to send feel fry. but try to send the ones with just water. milk is kind of weird here, so ya if you can that would be awesome. Also that shirt i was wearing i got it from one of the guys in English class. cost was min. but it was still pretty cool. HEHEHE!!!

Glad to hear you liked the taco mix.  I'll remember that for the next parcel.  i also sent nacho cheese mix but I guess that would be with milk too.  Does powder milk work?  Do they have that?

I really like the shirt too!  I was hoping that meant you had learned how to go clothes shopping a little bit...but....then...no.

I CRAVE to hear the laugh with the weird accent!  It would be my most favorite and best thing ever!!!!

No it is ok though. milk is good. but the nacos are even good to. ya i'm working on it but being a mzungu doesn't really help.

Any good missionary stories today?  We loved hearing about the baptisms last week.  We were wondering what the retention is like for new converts.

Also...did you go get a new camera that is less high tech?

yes. um not really this week, but last day i got ten contacts. meaning i talked to ten people and introduced the church to them. I haven't been here long enough but the branch we are in is almost ward states so like 200+ but only 80-90 show up many problem is people are working. so it is very hard to teach them but they are awesome though the members. umm... no.., why that camera is legend why would i waste money to buy another camera??

Everybody is working on Sunday????   That would make things very difficult.  Are they working or are they considered inactive?   Bro Ryder was telling us that there was a lot of the new converts that went inactive and that the more active members would .....prosper more?......and then would get offered better jobs elsewhere and leave, so the numbers in the branch were always quite low.

I thought you told dad that you haven't taken the camera out because it is too high tech looking.  So I figured you would go get yourself something cheaper so that you would at least take more pictures. 

YA it kind of sucks. People got to eat and take care of their families. LA ya that general happened before i came. no i will use it but not as often i'll just have some of the other elders email there photos. since they are so much better than mine.

Hey that is awesome really appreciate it. Even here i have given a few priesthood blessings one of them was to a investigator who had malaria and the next day he was at work. I can tell you that experience was priceless and was a big help to me and my comp. Hope you are doing well. and Also preparing. Because in 2015 September i'll be back and ready to take you in Basketball and any other sport you can think of. Yes love you lots hope to hear again from you soon. And hope you are doing well. and hope the farm is still going well for ya. Really miss that place right now. Especially since i'm in a big city right now with now open space. but there is still cows wallowing around so it is almost like home but not quite. Actually this cow jumped across this ditched and tried to get me and one of the Branch missionaries. He freaked out but these cows aren't anything like yours. They are very small and like skin and bone. So i was ready and willing to take it for a ride. but it was okay. It ran away. it didn't want any of this Albertan. But i just remember that one experience where i almost got eatten by those cows when i tried to steal the calf. Lots of fun. especially when you went and charged that one cow in your BRAND NEW TRUCK!!! lots of good times back on the old farm.

Here's some advice from Grandpa Walburger to Carson...

One thing I hope you can accomplish while you're serving the Lord and the people over there is to remember that probably they will forget what you said, they will probably forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel. I know you're a good man. I'm proud of you. Love Grandpa.
