March 31, 2014

Carson must have been in a bit of a hurray today.  He forwarded a bunch of pictures from his zone conference last Wednesday and then some of his pictures from a baptism on Sunday.  Then as quick as a wink...he wrote me a few lines, replied once, and was on his way!  Must be working hard!!!  Here are his latest pictures...

This is all the missionaries in Carson's zone.  They had a zone conference this week...March 26.  This  picture was forwarded to Carson from the mission president's wife.  She also sent him a message that she had taken another photo of the group with her and the mission president, but that it had turned out blurry so that is why they are absent in this picture.

The rest of these photos must be of the men that Carson and his companion have been teaching.  And then from their baptism on Sunday, March 30.  They have a very interesting story that Carson tells in his letter later on today.

So here's Carson's letters today...

ya hey how's it going. here it s going good. ya we had zone conference and they gave me some packages. 3 cans and a big box of fruit loops. I was happy except today i finished it. You thing next time you can send me the family pack instead. JKS

ZC it was good had some fun with president and bascally just listened and learned and taught it was cool.

ya we are all good and hope you are too. but we are starting to get new missionaries WHICH IS GREAT.

and we had a baptism on sunday. But that isn't the full story. These guys that where baptized. (I sent you the pic.) They are from Congo, but they are refugees who fled there country with their families and friends and came to Tazania refugee camp. and they have been there for awhile. and they heard of the church and wanted to join it. But they had to wait 9 years to be baptized. It was a very cool experience.
Don't worry about me i'm doing good and hope you are to, Love you Carson

So happy you got some packages!!!  Yay!  And happy birthday with the Froot Loops.  Did it cost you anything?  Did you get the pringles can that we sent from Boise?

Zone conference sounds great.  I loved the picture of you all.  Too bad the one with the pres and his wife was blurry. And that's awesome that you're getting more missionaries.  Sounds like you can use them.

That's amazing about your baptisms.  I can't imagine having to wait that long to get baptized.  What a blessing for them.  Are their families still in the Congo or are they in the refugee camp?  Always love these stories Carson.  Sounds great!  Good for you!

I always worry about you...that's what mom's are good at.  I am also doing good...but still cold. There was new snow on the car this morning...and this was my reaction...
