Yes...it was one of those early morning, bang my head on a wall, kind of conversation with Carson this morning.
well ya mom all is going just swell no complaints or anything like that.
This week it has been the same just running around and saying good bye to people because i ll be leaving on thursday for busia.
Other than that not too much is going on, i ll be there for 3 weeks and then the transfer happens but i ll probably stay there for another 6 to finish it off. but ya that is pretty much not too much after that, the teaching we really good this week really working well with Elder Anderson but other than that all is just peachy no complaints at all thanks for writing today love you lots
Hi. The birds are really singing like crazy outside my window today. 5 AM!!! So since I was awake...I checked the computer ...and here you are! Yay! Sounds like Kisumu is kind of a fun place. And the masaai market sounds very interesting. Hope they let the spear on the plane! I think a few souvenirs is a great idea. But really...get something that means something for you. something that you can display in your future home/apartment. Tablecloth or pictures of some of the places you've been. Something that has some sentimental value. Maybe some shirts or hats that have some African Logos. ??? Good luck with that.
So you get transferred on Thursday? Another bus trip? Hopefully you like it. Do you ever get a say in where you finish off your mission? Or does that never factor in?
Glad your week is going well. What about the best/worst/funnest/most spiritual things? Any thoughts?
Luv ya!
Long pause......
Are you gone already? Hey just a reminder that it was Father's Day yesterday. In case you were wondering. Luv ya.
no i was just busy somewhere ok ok actually i was wondering about the custom issue so can you explain that to me or is grandma the one i should really talk to.
Ya i ll be on another bus to busia no not really you can say but president will just laugh it is not what we want that matters.
not really over all it was a really good weekoh fetch can you tell dad happy fathers day.
Sad to hear how little missionaries you have left. Are there any plans to get some more? Or is it still a visa thing?
What customs were you wondering about? Like what are you allowed on a plane? Maybe make a list of some of the things you have and I can call around. But I think you might be able to go online someplace and find out. Or ask your mission secretary if they know. They would have the name of the plane company (like Delta...) and then you could go online that way to find out. But I'll look into it some more too.
I will tell dad Happy Father's day from you. I kind of boycotted it myself this year. I told him I would do for him on Father's day what he did for me on Mother's day......which was nothing! Well...he did let Ashlee get me a bag of chocolates. I had one and everybody else ate the rest. So I do have a chocolate bar for him. But yesterday got kind of busy at the track so I ended up not giving it to him. Maybe for breakfast this am.
ya it is still a visa thing... Like when you come to the country you have to go through customs and they have to go through all of your stuff. Thanks eh
hahah ok mom powerful
Maybe ask grandma too. She is the world traveller. One thing I know you need to check....if any of these spears or knives are allowed on the plane. And the wood...I think it has to be treated or something. So check that too. How much stuff are you planning to bring back? Hopefully, you leave some of your old stuff behind to "lighten the load a bit." You know...stuff like your extra pants or white shirts? But whatever you think.
That's true about the carry on stuff. So coming back with just the clothes on your back eh. Sounds good.
Hey...what about my favourite topic...best/worst/ etc....etc....
ah it was a great week no downers all was well.
no all was well no problems no chidas ALL was just GREAT AWESOME>
" Can you feel it? ... What .... my hands CHOKING You CHOKING YOU"
mom really all is well
That's nice that all is well. But my question was not..."is everything all well?" My question was...What was the best thing that happened this week? What was the worst thing? What was the most funnest thing you did this week? and finally...what was the most spiritual thing that happened this week? Sigh.....
Well...thanks for sharing. We really like all the info you are willing to give us. Thanks so much.
So any big plans this week? Just the big move on Thursday. How about teaching or baptisms? Anything lined up this week?
Well, good luck with your week then. Have fun!
Thanks mom i ll try but what about you any big and demanding plans for you
Well...its the last week of school for the girls so everyday is some test for them. Then starting on Thursday night, it's back to work for me. I have to do four night shifts this week. So I'll be at work next week when you write. But I'm supposed to be getting together with some friends from Mountain View on Friday night. My grade nine graduating class wants to have a reunion. I was hoping to get the night off from work...but I might end up just a fast trip up there to say hello and then fast trip into work. Other than that not much else going on. Just still trying to find someone to help put up the trim and baseboards in the house. Oh...and I need to get the brakes fixed on the van before we head down to Provo for Ashlee's basket ball camp.
See how that works.....you ask a question....and I actually write some details back to you. Makes for a more interesting letter. (wink wink nudge nudge) :)
sure ya i think you ll need to teach me more you know before i get too out of control. Sorry though i ll try and explain more details next week
I can see your letter now...."hi mom....transfered this week. All is well. No complaints. K Bye!"
Ah yes. I'm all aglow with the anticipation of it all. Can hardly wait!
Hahahahahahahahahaha!!! Love you Carson. Thanks for letting me give you a hard time sometimes!
Hey look at the letter Ken got! Another letter just packed full of all sorts of interesting and fun info!
Hey dad wow wow
This is absolutely awesome haha. Really wow the town council is really gunning for you eh, Carson
Here's Gma's letter. She must have sent him some pictures of Uncle Michael's kids.
WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE IN THESE PICTURES I DON'T RECOGNIZE ANYONE AHAHAH what the... thats crazy hope i ll be able to see them soon.
But ya all is well here no complaints But ya we took care of the mice, alot of sticks flying and rats going every and even alittle bit of screaming lots and lots of fun, not really red but just brown, Tanzania it was alittle red. Kisumu it is pretty modern but i haven't seen busia so ya but all is cool. Ya there is plenty of hotels (Resturants) here just not subway or mcd or wendies here but it is still good. No hell be staying in kisumu with and new elder and i ll be going to find two other elders. Later on this morning, I noticed some email from him on another (slower and less dependable) email account I have. Not sure what's going on in these pictures. He sent some that were sideways too and I haven't been able to figure out how to make those right side up. Guess I'll have to wait till the girls get home from school to show me how to do it!
Nice nose hairs!!! I can totally tell what those poor black people are thinking in the background! "What is that weird white guy doing? Are all Canadians like that?"
Two thumbs up.....Fonzie!
Ummm....no...that's not awkward....at all! (?????)
