October 20, 2014

In my last letter to Carson, I told him all about our blah Thanksgiving weekend.  I worked nights from Friday evening until Tuesday morning.  So I was sleeping during the day and in no shape to be whipping up some turkey and pumpkin pie on the Thanksgiving Monday.  Not only that...but Ken was at the racetrack all weekend for the final week of racing.  He claimed a new horse on Saturday and then raced Hawker on the Sunday...and WON!!!   Yah!  So Thanksgiving kind of got overlooked this year.  But...when the girls had all gone to Young Women's on Tuesday night, Ken asked me out on a date!  We went somewhere we haven't gone in ages...Bully's bar at the racetrack.  They have the best chicken wings ever.  And they have these huge screen tv's all over that you can watch all the replays of the races.  So we went in...ordered some wings...and watched the new horse's race, and Hawker's race.  (And even the one after that where there was a crash and a jockey ended up in the ER when I was working that night.)  But Carson kind of lectured me a little bit about going to the bar...here's his letter to me this week!

ok... so for thanks giving you went on a date with dad to a Bar. ate some Chicken wings and some sodas in a Bar... is there something wrong with this little phrase. hah oh well well that sounds ever so eventful.
Hah sounds like all is going well over on that side. Even for us all is well but this week was kindly long.
So Monday We P dayed
Tuesday we had a branch activity we came ate taught about Restoration and then went and played soccer... haha lots of fun but i almost sent this kid we where playing to Canada It seems like i accidentally or more or less gave him a hip check and he was kindly Gone.  ya but lots of fun..
Wednesday We had a bunch of meeting not to much fun.
Thrusday we wnet to work WE went and saw a few people. It was a good day.
Friday We had Weekly planning planned for the week and then we went and ate some food but then it turned out that my companion Elder Anderson Got very very sick so we went home and that is where we were the rest of the day and also most of Saturday.
Sunday we went to church and Sister bevans has me helping out in Primary. i don't know what it is about primary but after eh. I am sooooooooo Tired like everything, Physical Spiritual Mentally just everything is like I am done. it sucks is this how it feels to raise kids, if so that explains why lots of people lose there hair.
YA long funny week this week no much planned Go Home today Fix the bathroom eat food wash clothes, Next day go to Dar and enjoy and after that go see members should be alot of fun. We will have to see how it roles out.
Well that is all that is on my mind hope all is well with u and the rest of the family. Miss you all and hope you are all doing good.
Love you lots Carson
P.S. To dad - Tell him out of all of my temple experiences that is the only one i remember because water was going ever where and tim and heith where just killing them selves laughing and the temple worker mzee came and was like what is going on... haha lots of fun

You make our date sound like we did something wrong!  And you forget...I was with dad...no soda...just water.  Except the guy who owns the place came over to talk to Kenny and told him that he would pay for any alcohol we ordered....and then he laughed hysterically!  Obviously it sounds like he knows dad is LDS and won't ever order any!!

Sounds like your soccer skills are still up to snuff!  Hopefully you went and picked the kid up and dusted him off!

Sounds like an eventful week.  What happened to Elder Anderson?  Did he recover?  What was the matter with him?

That should be a good time to get to go back to Dar!  Have fun at zc.

All is good with us.  The girls are getting ready for school.  It's way dark in the mornings now and dad is pacing around the house waiting for it to lighten up so he can go do his morning chores.

Dad is actually a little embarrassed about that temple "splash".  But we still smile about it too.

Does your branch ever do a ward conference?   Where do you have to go for stake conference?

haha good one. Elder Anderson just ate some bad food and was thinking it was his last days to live but all is well with him now.
HAHAHAH love it and will remember that for a long time hehe.
When in Dar we did but Mwanza Branch is under The KNM District and since i have been here we haven't had it yet and doesn't seem like we ll have it for a while along with general conference

Oh ya.....did you ever get to watch general conference?

What is KNM district?

Poor Elder Anderson.  But he's ok now?  How about you...did you eat any of the same food?

Nope nope nope Not yet and i  m very sad
Kenya Nairobi Mission
yup he is fine now.
Ya all is well this stomach of mine is like a steel trap nothing can harm it

So for stake conference...do they have to go up to Nairobi for that?  How far away is Nairobi from there?  That seems like a long way to go.

I hope that stomach of yours stays like a steel trap! I'm always worried about you picking up some sort of bug or something.

How about the visas...any word on those?  I thought at one point your visa to Kenya was good.  You even talked about going into Kenya at some point.  But then the last letter you said you were having problems with the visas.  Is that a problem with Kenya visa or Tanzania visa?  Not to be rude...but it kind of gets my hopes up a little when you say you're having problems with them.  I always start thinking maybe they'll send you back to Canada for the rest of your mission.  (Fingers crossed)  But maybe you wouldn't like that.  Anyway...just curious what's going on with your visa.

ha We don't go anywhere for Stake Conference. It is about an Hour or so away.
Ya last week we started to have stupid problems to update it. So i m still good in TZ but also my visa in Kenya is good but i really don't want to go but i feel very soon i ll go to Kenya.

Why don't you want to go?

The stupid government is just stupid and corrupt if i go there who know what could happen.

Ok...let's just stay out of Kenya then.  But I'm sure if you get called there...the church will look after you...Heavenly Father will look out for you!

Dad just got in from chores.  He says to remind you to FORGET about that temple experience.  He still remembers how loud it was.  Oops!!

And can I just say how much I loved your letter today.  It was awesome to read about all the things you did this week.  The Primary thing makes me laugh.  Yes...yes...that is exactly how it feels to raise kids.  Expect to be EXHAUSTED 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  And nothing changes when they grow up and go away!  I worry about you all the time!

What's on your menu for tonight?

hahah that is a good one. But we ll have to see what happens.
We don't know we ll will have to see maybe chips mayia but we ll see very soon.

I just read this to your dad...his response..."isn't that what he has every night?"

haha yup but we also do rice and beans some time or ugali but just right now we are at the end of the month so as we say we have to push the week and see what happens.

Ummm...Carson...there's actually TWO weeks left in this month.  Hopefully you can really push that week out.  How's the money situation holding out?

Empty

Uh oh.  What's the plan of survival?

Chapatii and beans and personal loans and etc.

Dad says he hates beans.  Remember that time I made that awesome chicken taco soup and threw in a "few" black beans...and dad stood over the sink and tossed out all the beans from his bowl?  But he said when you get home, he'll take you out to the Keg for a steak supper to make up for all the beans you have to eat!  Maybe he'll take you to Bullys for chicken wings sometime!  HA ha ha ha!

hahahahhahaahha that day i remember well but here they love beans ya awesome get to go to in the bar instead of waiting in the car for him Sweet hahaha
But ya that sounds great
Been good talking to you but i am almost out of time so love you guy s lots and hope your week is good

Yes...a rite of passage!

Love you Carson.  Take care of yourself.  You're the best.

Love...Mom!

Well everything this side is going great this week was fast but some how fast we had a bunch of activities but my comp was very sick they other day but other than that the week was good. Ya but this week we ll be running around Dar again hope all goes well there it should and well just have to see.
Also Later today i get to play handyman Williams. I get to do some plumbing and some other stuff in a bathroom today hope all goes well but it seems like i won't have a helper to help me or at least there has been no volunteers have showed up so we ll see how that goes down.
