We sent Carson some pictures of Ashlee and Taylor's Divisional Cross Country run this week. It's held in Hillspring at the Spring Glen Park and the girls did pretty good! Special thanks to Grandma Walburger who went to cheer them on and took these awesome pictures. (Because I was home sleeping due to a stretch of night shifts!) Thanks for picking up my slack Grandma!!! You're the best!
And this was his letter to me this week:
hahha for sure mom lots of fun is happing this side this week
has been good. Well it looks like i am staying in Mwanza alittle longer and we
will all be staying but the only change is my comp is training a new
missionary, He name is Elder mboya and he is from kenya and is a visa waiter to
go to Cape town in South Africa. He is a good guy and alot of fun we are
enjoying this side. But i feel like i don't have a comp. but all is well.
Bevans are doing good having fun as usual. Was alot of fun we were kindly on a
sugar hang over the next morning but ya it was great will be even better in
March ON MONDAY HAHAHAH FUNN FUNN FUNNN HAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHH hah ha big lots of fun.... NOPE NOPE but it would be cool to
see my sisters once in while
Hey love you too
Dad is crazy he sent me the letter from the town for sure i
laughed and started crying in the internet cyber.
yup yup yup/. Love you lots to
Glad you're having a good week. Hope that you're ok
staying in Mwanza. Sounds like a great town. Hope you don't feel
too left out on the training. I'm sure Elder Mboya can learn from you
too. Was he able to go to Johannesburg to the MTC before he came to
you? How does that work?
March sounds like it will be a lot of fun! Hope you have a
great time.
Don't worry about seeing your sisters over there...I don't think
I can bear to have more than one child in Africa at a time! And I'm thinking
they won't be going over there to school any time soon!
Isn't that the greatest letter from the town? Made me
laugh too.
Hey...here's the picture of Ashlee's volley ball team. We were in Barnwell for a tournament this weekend. See
if you can guess what Ashlee's thinking.
No he went to the ghana MTC Well i see ashlee and she looks like
she wants to beat the cameraman
Oh...I didn't know they had an MTC in Ghana as well. That
makes sense. How's he enjoying the mission so far? Maybe one day he
could trade places with Kash and then everyone would be where they're supposed
to be!
She says she smiled in all the pictures everyone took...except
for that one. And of course, that would be the picture they posted on
instagram! Oh well...there's always another game.
So any big plans today? How's the missionary work going
for you all? Any lessons planned today?
Did you get to see any of conference yesterday? I know
you/ve said you get it later on DVD...but just wondering if you heard anything
else?
He is enjoying for sure but he is making me feel old on mission
for sure. he ya that would be nice have you heard anything about Kash lately or
not. not for today today i need to go and wach clothes after that eat sleep and
prepare for the week to come.
NOPE NOT A THING NOTHING NOT A NOPE NOPE NOPE NOTHING
Haven't heard a thing about Kash except that he's loving where
he's at. So that's good for him. So they are where they are
supposed to be. Because if all I had to do was pray a little harder to
get your child to where the parent wants them to serve....you'd have been back
in Taber for MONTHS by now!!!!!
Washing clothes day huh? What is on your menu today?
More pineapple and bananas? Wait..let me guess...how about some ugali and
meat? That would really hit the spot right now! Wish we had
some! Elna says she loves ugali for breakfast. She would just break
it up into smaller pieces and pour sugar and cream over it. Have you
tried that yet?
Well, you'll enjoy that talk by Elder Bednar when you hear
it. It's all over Facebook last night. They are making little video
spots with it and those poster pictures too. It's great.
Hmmm i ll be honest they are all sitting in SA right now praying
not to come to Kenya compared to here SA is like HEAVEN but me i like this side
way more especially TZ no terrorist this side.
Yup we don't know yet but we ll find out very soon. Nope can't
say i have. hmm that is interesting but i think i ll wait to see if for my self
Really? Is Kenya that bad right now? I have to admit
I like having you staying in TZ. Like you say...less/no terrorists.
That's why it won't hurt my feelings if you stayed in TZ the whole time.
(But maybe a side trip to Nairobi to pick up your root beer would be all
right!)
Anything else lined up for the week? Any
investigators? Hope you have a good time. But still remember to
work hard!
Well it is n't bad right now but lots of other missions call
this one a less active mission and a very hard mission. Elder Holland said that
this mission where for men... for sure it is 100 %
Not really this week will just have to go with it and see what
happens
What do you think it is that makes it less active or very
hard? Is it just Mwanza...or Kenya? I thought you were having a lot
of success when you were in Dar? At least you seemed to be having lots
more referrals and more lessons...even a few baptisms. My heart and
prayers go out to you. I'm sure you are learning lots and I hope
everything works out for you.
Good luck this week. Anything you need from me?
Dad's still giving me a hard time about me sending too many packages. But
I secretly really enjoy finding little things for you that will fit in those
chips containers. And then to know that you're actually getting them
makes me smile! But I would hate to think that it's embarrassing you or
that you were getting mocked for having an overbearing mother. Hope you
just consider yourself very well loved!
all is well but a few years ago this mission was a few less
active incidents but all is well though now. No your not embarrassing me but it
is alittle much now adays.but don't worry all is cool
That's good about your mission I guess. Sometimes it would
be nice to hear a few more details...but I'll take what I can get. :)
Sorry about the packages...I didn't think I sent that many...I
think they just all happened to come at once. I sent off a few two weeks
ago but am not planning on anymore till next month or so. But sorry if I
overdid it. Just love ya! And shocked that they actually made it to
you.
Well...anything else you want to tell me?
????? WHY is there something u want to hear ????
Not really...just like hearing you talk about what you are doing
and what you're going through. Is it ok to be interested in what you're
doing? Just love ya...but don't want to be boring you or taking up your
time if you need to be somewhere else. It's only five forty here...so I
still have time before I have to make things happen...but I never know if you
need to be gone somewhere.
ya i have about 10 min, left but all is great no never never
boring
Not sure what's left to ask you.
Well i need to go soon but if you have any questions you are
very welcome to ask me.
Not much else to ask...are you happy? Are you safe?
Are you well? Those are some questions that are always on my mind but I
worry that you will think I'm over mothering again. But I do love
you...and I guess I just want you safe and happy and healthy. Take care
this week Carson. Work hard so that you have no regrets! I don't
know what it's like being so far from home and being on a mission...but I'm
grateful your dad did it for our family. And I'm grateful that you also
have this opportunity. Next week I'm working nights from Friday to
Tuesday morning...so I'll probably be at work when you write. Next Monday
is Thanksgiving here. Not sure if we'll have the big turkey dinner.
I'm hoping Dad and the girls go to Gma's so I can have the house to myself to
sleep. But I guess we'll see. Maybe the Bevans will have a Canadian
Thanksgiving for you Canucks over there.
Safe and sound no problems for sure it is interesting feeling
but all is well. not on Monday but well have a party later./ Love you lots hope
all is well i got to go Thanks again
