Happy Family Day!
Wednesday Feb 11, 2015 Grade 7 girls divisional champions!!!
Well, as you can see from the pictures, last week was a lot of fun. Ashlee's basketball team won their divisional playoffs in Mountain View. (Her dad almost got kicked out of the gym after yelling at the ref!) So it was pretty exciting. I am definitely looking forward to a break from basketball. Kaylee still has a few games left though. Hope we can make it through those! Taylor's almost done indoor soccer and then outdoor soccer starts. Not looking forward to sitting out in the cold snow and rain to watch those games. Brrr. Anyways...here are Carson's letters this week:
Hey mom hahah ya dad told me about the basketball game. hahah i
was reading his letter and i was talking to my comp and somehow tired so i
missed alot of the start then all of a sudden i see "Kicked out" wait
wait wait hold up stop the movie REWIND. I was awake now haha after rereading
it yo yo yo i started laughing LAUGHING they my comp peaked over and read a
little bit and then he started reading ha ha ha and then we both started
laughing. Hey they just about kicked us out of the cyber for being unruly. and
somehow loud he he oops. But ya haha sounds like you guys are having a party
that side.
Oh by the way HAPPY VALENTINES DAY MOM

really big and really nice. and we ate some nice food. and ten because it was
cold she made us some Hot chocolate and Pancakes WITH ACTUALLY MAPLE SYRUP FROM
CANADA
Carson was in 7 Heaven. I actually almost started crying. Tears
of joy were just flowing. but it was a great day and it was awesome.
Tasted great also.
as for this week we will be every busy, My comp might be going
to SA soon. we have Zone conference and the rest of the week we have exchanges
and other crape we have to do. But all is well It will be a fast week Great.
But ya., Awesome
Um as for your talk i ll be honest i really don't know what to
say, i don't have any ideas for ya except to read as many general conference
talks as you can...
as for me i m doing good. But i have a question for you. Lately
as i talk to more and more missionaries lots of them are planning to go to BYU
and even me when i hear that i somehow have that same desire. So my problems is
one. I STILL DON"T HAVE A CLUE WHAT I WANT TO. So i don't know i say medicine
area but i don't know so my question is what kind of classes did you take in
BYU.
Thanks mom really appreciate it love you lots hope you have a
good week
Carson
Hi carson. Yes the bball game was crazy. I had to
keep shushing dad and patting his knee to keep him calm. If that's what
gr 7 is like...what will it be in a few years?
Oh yeah...Happy Valentines Day. Taylor calls it
"single awareness day"! Not very exciting here since I'm
working all weekend.
Sounds like a busy week for you. I bet you liked the
pancakes! Maple syrup would be awesome! Did you ever get the syrup
I sent to you?
Don't worry about the talk. i was just hoping you had some
personal experience or story I could use.
BYU...I just took general courses my first year. I also
tried to take courses that would transfer later on. So not just
basketweaving type of courses. Lance says you should take a swahili
language course. He says it would be easy credits for you and look good
on your transcripts. It's hard when you don't know what you want.
So you need to look at a few options and see if they have any courses in
common...like statistics or an english class or a math or chemistry
class. Then take those and they will be able to be used in any direction
you decide to choose. Does that make sense?
Um somehow so where would i look for that i tried looking on the
home website but i couldn't find it. Also i somehow know the guy who teaches
swahili class there he served on this mission and left when i got in but ya he
knows Swahili kabisa kabisa
I'm not sure where you would find a list of courses. In
the old days we would just order a catalog. How about I'll do some
homework this week and try and find some ideas for you. I can even try to
email some options your way. Would that help? What kind of medicine
were you thinking of? Like dentist...doctor...ultrasound or xray
tech....how about nursing!!???!?!
Ya that would be great maybe something around there like Doctor/
Family Doc/ Xray tech/ ya something like that and maybe give me some advice.
Wow...ok. Big dreams eh! Good for you. I will
try to find out what we need to do. Do you want me to start filling out
applictions to BYU....Provo or Idaho? I'll at least find them and see
what you need to apply. Are you wanting to go in September or in
January?
ah aha ah honestly mom i really don't know i would almost say
september next year but i really don't know what do you think when would be the
best time
Well, your father thinks that I just want you to stay home in
the nest with me so I'm not sure what to say. I'm fine if you work this
year and go to school next and I'm fine if you wanted to go to school right
away. I think it's important that you go when you want to go. I
would just say don't put it off too long because if you start working...you run
the risk of getting a sense of complacency and then keep putting it off
until it gets too late. Hey...like my talk says...sincerely and humbly
pray about it! Good luck with all that. It will all
work out! Love you!
Ya that is my problem i want to go but yikes i m scared for
money. I don't want to get to over my head just to find out that i won't be
having a job. so yikes i don't know i ve talked to dad and he is ok for me to
work. But sure he wants me to go for school. and even me to but my problem is i
don't know what i want to do.
I wouldn't worry too much about that. Just take that leap
of faith. You're a hard worker and I know you can make it work. Trust
in Heavenly Father...pray about it...fast about it. If you want...you can
tell us when you are fasting and we can do that along with you. Anything
to help you out. We love you and are so proud of you. You can do
hard things. You've already proved that by being there in Africa. i
have no doubt about what you can accomplish.
Hey thanks mom so do you think that is a good idea for me?
Also how do you pay for all that crape it scares the crape out
of me.
If it's what you want to do...I think it's a good idea.
Money...there's a few options. Dad used student loans. Part time
jobs, summer jobs. We'll find a way.
Maybe thats what i don't understand is student loans how does
one get a hold of that stuff and excactly what is it used for
NOBODY understands student loans! But sometimes it can be
a good debt. We can work all that out later though. One step at a
time.
ya that sounds like a good idea. Is there anything else that i
should know before i make a decision
Carson...this is a big decision. You will have to spend a
lot of time thinking about this. And you are on a mission right
now. You need to be focused on serving the Lord right now. If you
make that your main goal when the time comes to decide about school, He will
help you. I don't think you can make any permanent decision right
now. But if you decide the school you want to go to...we can look at the
courses they offer, then from there we can decide what it will cost.
But...you are on a mission! Focus on that right now. The rest will
take care of itself.
are very very right so that is what i ll do thanks mom really
appreciate it thank you thank you KABISA
Oh Carson...I luv ya bud! You are awesome! I'm so
proud of you. I'm excited for you and all the great things that are
coming your way! So fun and exciting! You will do amazing things!
Well, my shift is over and I'm ready to go home. Any big
plans for you this week?
Just going for Zone conference and apparently i ll be hanging
out in upperhill for the next 3 days GREAT YAHOOO poo
Sounds like fun! Hope you have a good time!
Ya and what bout you guys what fun and exciting plans do you
have for this week
Not sure just yet. It's reading week so the girls don't
have school. We were thinking about going to Calgary or maybe even down
to the States somewhere for some day trips. Need anything from the
STates?
an nothing that would benifit me since i am on the opposite side
of the world.
Hey sounds like fun. party hard eh.
How was valentines day though
K. Valentines was kind of boring. i was working
so...didn't do much. Dad and Taylor snuck down stairs into the parkade,
then left me some chocolates and a card and a stuffed puppy while I was
working. I had a little tear in my eye when I found them.
Ahhhh...so sweet of them! Hopefully you had a boring time on
Valentines....right?
hmmm what bout kaylee and ashlee.
Well for us it was worse then boring it sucked, we got bounced
kabisa andevery where people where partying kabisa i felt every left out
Kaylee...went out on a date. Then Ashlee was at a friends
house for a party. (let's face it...life is always a party for
her!) i hate to say it but I'm glad you were feeling left
out. There will be plenty of Valentines days to celebrate later
on. But I did send some Valentine treats to you last month.
Did those get to you yet?
yet not but it sucks next year Valentines is on a What... Sunday
how boring is that going to be
That doesn't matter really. It's just a day...the Saturday
will be the day to celebrate anyway. And why are you so worried about
Valentine's next year and what day is it on? Something you're not telling
me? Are you making plans for something next year?
hahaha mom do you really want to ask questions that you probably
do not what to hear the answer too
I wouldn't have asked if I didn't want to know.
worry no plans are being made i barely can plan for a week how
would i ever be able to plan for a year
Phew! You had me worried for a minute.
Well, anything else exciting? When you say that you are in
Upperhill this week, does that mean that you are hanging out with the mission
Pres? That could be stressful!
why are you like all my friends saying within 6 months i ll be
married or something stupid like that. No not really anything exciting.
Ya that is why i said poo at the end of that message
I don't recall saying anything about what's going to happen in 6
months. I'm trying to avoid the subject cause I don't want to make you
trunky. I would like you to stay focused on the missionary work,
Elder!
Oh...that's what that "poo" was for.
Well, it's almost 8 am. I'm still here at work but am
ready to go home to bed. I have to be back here in 11 hours. So I'm
thinking I better say goodbye to you. I'll try and have some more
education info for you next week. hope you have a good one. I sure
love you lots. Take care! Say hi to Elder Njuguno for us!
hahahah ok mom thanks love you lots have a good week eh
Oh my goodness dad hahahahahhaahhah oh flip me and my companion
are dying right now. Oh my. Fetch why can't i be there flip that is great. Wow
that is powerful.
Ya well dad this week has been a good one and it seems like the
next week is going to fly. Also it seems like my companion might be going to
his mission soon. So we l just have to see.
The people here are great sometimes i think they are crazy but
when you get to sit down with them they are pretty cool. The other day we went
to a big members house. (More wealthier family) But it was hilarious, they were
total convinced that i was from America somewhere and when i told them i was
from Canada They were absolutely just blown away. They were saying like how you
have the accent of americian and you look somehow Canadian but you are more
laid back no stressing than any white guy they have seen. I had to explain but
in all of the areas i have served all the members like me for that.
Now in this mission lots of the members DO NOT LIKE CANADIANS.
Thanks to Elder j and S. They all think that people from Canada are either
really stupid/over-serious/reporter/ or thanks to Elder S, Gay or a cross dresser.
So most of my mission it has been trying to clean up that image
but wit how it seems like it is going i think i might start saying i am from
The USA. But even then lots of the missionaries here know that i they know how
patriotic i m am bout canada So they like to make fun of Me. Femie Canada and
oh canada doesn't have independence. Makes me fume. But somehow i have gotten
over it. Just smile and wave i guess, But overall these areas are all nice over
here and the members and people are great and i am really enjoying.
just one question though if you can help me. alot of
missionaries are planning on going to BYU in the future so These last few days
i have been thinking about going down there. But my problems is still one, WHAT
AM I GOING TO DO WITH THIS LIFE OF MINE. I would like to be a doctor or
something like that but i don't exactly know now so if you and mom could give
me some tips that would be marveolus thanks eh. Miss you lots and hope you have
a good week
Carson
wow hey grandma that is powerful.
As for us we are doing good kabisa. Mission is great and i m
really enjoying. YA right now it is summer right now so it is really hot kindly
getting sunburned now and then but ya all is going good. really enjoying. hey
that cuy thing looks good i would like to try some of that< Hey i hope you
enjoy going to peru that ssouns like alot of fun times. hope all will be well.
Miss you lots and i hope you have a good week. Love you lots
Carson
hahah grandpa hahah thats powerfull really enjoyed that today.
sounds like you are doing good. As for me i m doing just great. I m really
enjoying it this side, Having lots of fun with members and really showing them
how different the williams is from the other White guys here. We were at a
members house they other day and they were completely convinced that i was from
some crazy place in the states but even then they were some how confused. And
then i said i was from Canada and it completely blew their minds. There is no
way tell us where you are really from... ha i had a good time. The where
complementing me on alot of things. My white shirts(That is wash by hand) and i
m a great missionaries like other guys and i m really laid back not to stressed
just chill. hahah it was great and they asked if i was from a farm area.
Overcourse i said yes. And they there where like that is why, you have that
mentalitly in you already no wonder you are so good.
So ya from that i just want to say thanks just being on a farm
and working hard has benifited me on my whole mission thanks eh. Really appreciate
and hope you are doing great. Love you lots and hope you have a good week.
Carson
