This picture makes me SOOOOO happy!!!   What a kid!

Here are Carson's letters for the week:

Mom's:

Hey thanks mom.

umm not much going on over here. kind of got the flu this week so it has been interesting. YA but other than that this week has been a good one.

As for the day to day schedule.

Mon. we had exchanges late night so Njuguna when to Upperhill for his visa to SA and i was with this other guy it was ok not much happened good missionary from Ghana.

Tues. We tried to go and see people but we got bounced and started to help clean the church, and one of the members we were working with started calling me snowman so that was all i was hearing.

Wed. We went for Zone conference. it was somehow interesting. We watched meet the mormon it was really nice. I had to laugh at the end when the mom was in the kids bag ready to go for mission. hahah i was like thats totally my mom right there but it seemed like there was a few of us who could relate because we where all laughing. but ya it was really nice.

Thr. we went back to work. Saw a bunch of people.

Fri- Exchanged back and went to work again it was good.

Sat, Saw some people in the church then i went and cleaned out the baptism font.

Sun. We went to church and i went and played the piano for Sacrament meeting (Stress) Then we had interviews for baptism (STRESS) And then they asked me to conduct the baptism (( STRESS LEVELS OVERLOAD))

But all went well and all was a success so no complaining here. ya but all is going well here really enjoying nothing really interesting going on this next week but we ll just have to see what happens.

Hi Carson,   sorry to hear that you've been ill.  Hope you're feeling better soon.  Did you ever have to get your flu shots over there?

That's funny that they're calling you snowman!  Don't those melt in the sun!

Wasn't that "meet the mormons" a good show?  We really liked it.  Except for the last one!  It hit WAY too close to home for me.  I bawled all the way through that part and then of course the girls and gma and gpa kept bending over and looking down the row at me to watch me sobbing away.  But it was still a really good feeling show.  Made me think that I should be doing better.

You played the piano for sacrament meeting?!!??!!!  How long has that been going on?  Good for you!  Sister Coppeiters will be proud!  How was the baptism?  Who got baptized?  What made it stressful to conduct the meeting?   Did you have to talk?   Did you take some pictures of them so I can change  up the one I have at the church?  Can't wait to see them!

So glad you had a good week!  

shot over here ha, Just grin and bear it that how it happens this side, But ya Piano ya ho  ya it was just this week they found out i could play and so they i went in. Fun but somehow stressful.

Ya baptism was good. It was 3 kids and a older dude that we have been teaching for a little bit but my comp was the one doing the baptizing. and i got up to the pulpit and conducted the whole wonders it was great but very stressful just having to be organized and to direct the crowd and all of that but it was great fun. oh picture i forgot i ll get them to you next week.

See...now aren't you glad you learned to play piano!  Awww...you make my mommy heart proud!  Well, the baptism sounds nice.  How old were the kids?  Do they have family in your ward/branch?  How old is the older dude?  What made him want to get baptized?  I bet you did a great job conducting.  Good for you.  

I forgot to ask...did you get any packages today?

Are you getting excited for your birthday next week?  Still have plans for KFC and chocolate cake?

Ya but the kids where 13 11 14 the older dude was around 30

All have family in the church it was a great day.

ya i got the 3 one with the talk about good gifts to bring home from mission by Gorden Hickely. Which makes my life easy i ve been stressing what to get for the mzee (Dad)

So if 30 is an "older" dude...I'd hate to hear what you call someone as ancient as me!!!  Yikes!!!

That package was the absolute funnest to send!  We had such a good FHE with that one.  It started out the same...everyone just bumbling along...then they all got into the spirit of it and it became fun.  Dad was the best.  He started out all humdrum and this is boring...but after the second or third gift was mentioned, he started off down memory lane and ran with it!  What were the other packages you got?  Did you get your birthday one yet?

Any other plans for your birthday?  Are you going to splurge a little on yourself?  

hahah ya just a few from christmas thats all i got and some Pictures of The sisters where funny i opened those pictures at the zone conference hahah there could have been a bidding war haha missionaries from all over where wanting kaylee kabisa even taylor too. hahaha and it is still going on today to Send me there emails is what they are saying right now. ahaha lots fun. ya not really just KFC and Cake thats about it. 

That is funny!  It sometimes gets to be a war here too.  Just the other day dad heard Kaylee and Ashlee having a fight over who could get more boyfriends. Ashlee thinks she could have 10 times more than the rest of the girls.  Yikes.  Heaven help us all. 

What's your weather like over there?  It's been a bit snowy here this weekend.  I'm tired of being so cold all the time.  I can't wait till spring.  I'm dying to see some green grass for a change.  Laura Bullock told me that Spencer is now in Cape Verde for the last three weeks and is sweating buckets!  She said he has the same problem as you do...the "whiteness" of him is very entertaining.  People come up to him just to touch his skin and hair.  Did they ever do that to you?

HAHAHa ya over here it is summer time so ya haha nice tan over here.

um ya that happened to me alittle bit i think the weirdest thing that happened to me was some kid tried to lick me???

Taylor wants to know if you got the picture of Ashlee in the pink hat/dress.

ya  I had a laugh at that. Makes me wonder why she says she can get more boyfriends than anyone else.

She probably can because she's so outgoing and fun to be around!  She's not afraid to talk to anybody!  And she's a hoot!  What a character.  They are finally awake and we are starting scripture study now.

Yes she is but we wouldn't want her any other way.  (Or you either!!)

What are you doing for the rest of this day?

That is a goood question.... who knows we will just have to see

Did you have to do anything at Zone conf this week?  How's Njuguna doing with his visa?  Any idea when he's planning on going to SA?

Nope nothing just sitting and listening and enjyoing haha and having fun messing around but other than that nothing. but ya they beeen working on it and if it goes through he ll be leaving this week

If he leaves this week...what happens to you?  Do they have an extra elder floating around somewhere....or do you get put into a threesome again?

who knows it is up to the lord but there is another who is good friends of Njuguna and he is in the same boat so if they both leave they ll just put me and his comp together and cal it good.

Hopeful not another threesome those suck

Well...that sounds pretty good.  That's funny that you don't like the threesome thing.  

We survived scripture study today.  Phew...it was hard to get them going today after last week being a holiday.  They are used to going to bed at one am and not waking up till noon!  (Well..except Taylor...she has no choice.  She has to be up at 8 to eat...then goes back to bed after that.)  I imagine today will be a long day for them!

Do you even remember what it was like to sleep in?  What time does your day start?

I'm trying to make some buns this morning to take with me visiting teaching today.  I'm not a great morning person...but I sure get a lot more done when I get started this early.

She says she's getting ready for school so couldn't write this morning.  She said sorry.  But she was supposed to write down all her sugars for me too and didn't get that done either.  Oh well.  Her pediatrician is having a teleconference with the endocrinologist from Calgary today about her and how we're having troubles getting her sugars under control.  So then the pediatrician will be calling me after that to tell me how it goes!  So it should be interesting to hear any new suggestions.  This diabetes thing is sure frustrating!

Dad wants to know what is meant when they called you a snowman.  He says "I didn't think it snowed over there." 

ah no it was me telling them there is alot of snow so then we got talking about the childrens hymn book about once there was a snowman and thats one of my favorite hymn so ya thats how it went down.

Dad says.."that's too bad. I was thinking they were calling you white like a snowman."

That's pretty good.  How many do you usually get?  Rod B told us a story at church yesterday about a companion he had on his mission who NEVER got any mail from anyone...no packages, no notes...nothing.  That would be pretty depressing I bet.

How much longer do you have to write?  Do you pay for your time in advance or do you just pay after for how long you used the computer?

Well, I should probably let you go. Not much else to tell you today.  But I sure enjoy these Monday mornings with you.  Starts my week out just right!  I need to put the buns in the oven, get ready to go visit teaching and then try to figure out how to squeeze in enough time to go get groceries before that doctor calls.  Then it's the same question I ask everyday....what should I make for supper?  Bleh.  Kaylee has ball practice tonight at 5:30 and Taylor has soccer tonight too.  It's going to be a loooong day.  I just want to go back to bed!  I'm sooooooo lazy!

not really we just have to see what is going to happen but as i see it it will be a pretty normal week

Hey Dad. 

Well for sure another week has passed and it seems like they are getting faster and faster. Which i have mixed opinion about but it is ok i guess. 

Ya sounds like alot of fun that side with those funny girls. But it s life i guess. 

As for us not much has happened. Kind of was a longer week because i got the flu. Not funny. and then we had Zone Conference. (What a Joy that was)

First of these funny aps are somehow prideful so they said some crape that i didn't enjoy. but what ever.

Then President and Sister Hicken were calling me elder Carson for the whole bit.

I am no longer a missionary everybody is calling me carson now. Just crazy 

But we can get home at 8 now and we can start using buses now it is great. 

But ya overall all is going great we had a baptism on sunday for 4 people, and i got to conduct the meeting and play the piano in sacrament really eventful sunday lots of fun. 

But ya it has been going good lately. Except for being called Carson but overall all is going great. Hope you are doing good.
